Educational Qualifications:

  • DE or UC (Seaman, Communication, Technical):
    • SSC or equivalent from Science with minimum GPA 3.50.
    • Preference for candidates with superior mathematics or ‘A’ grade from BN Dockyard Cooperative Society Technical Institute.
  • Medical Posts:
    • SSC or equivalent from Science with Biology and minimum GPA 3.50.
  • Patrolman, Writer, Store, Muse, MODC (Navy):
    • SSC or equivalent from any department with a minimum GPA 3.00.
  • Cook and Steward Posts:
    • SSC pass with a minimum GPA 2.50 from any department.
  • Topas Posts:
    • Minimum 8th class pass.

Physical Requirements:

  • Height:
    • Seaman and MODC (Navy): Minimum 5’6″
    • Patrolman: Minimum 5’8″
    • Other Posts: Minimum 5’4″
  • Chest Size:
    • 30 to 32 inches (normal), 2 inches more when expanded.
  • Weight:
    • Should match height and age.
  • Eyesight:
    • 6/6 vision.

Other Qualifications Bangladesh Navy Job Circular 2024

  • Must be a Bangladeshi male citizen and unmarried.
  • Swimming skills are required.
  • Age:
    • For Seaman: 17-20 years as of 1 January 2025.
    • For MODC (Navy): 17-22 years as of 1 January 2025.

Disqualifications:

  • Individuals arrested, convicted, imprisoned, or involved in any ongoing court cases are not eligible.
  • Candidates dismissed or expelled from the armed forces or government service, or those holding dual citizenship, cannot apply.

Selection Process of Bangladesh Navy Job Circular 2024

  • Candidates must present all required certificates and documents at their designated district centers for verification.
  • Written tests will cover English, Bengali, Mathematics, Science, General Knowledge, and Intelligence.
  • Those passing the written tests will undergo health and oral examinations.
